8-DAY TOUR: ALBANIAN RIVIERA

8-Day Tour · Albanian Riviera · North to South

An extraordinary 8-day adventure through the best of Albania's southern coast — from the emerald waters of Vlora and the wild beaches of Gjipe, to the turquoise paradise of Ksamil, the UNESCO ruins of Butrint, and the military island of Sazan. This tour will leave you in awe of the natural wonders, historical treasures, and breathtaking landscapes that Albania has to offer.

🌅 Day 1 — Tirana to Vlora We start early from Tirana heading to Vlora. A short stop for breakfast or morning coffee along the way. Upon arrival we walk along the Lungomare — Vlora's stunning seafront promenade — enjoying the emerald sea with views of Sazan Island and Karaburun Peninsula. Overnight in Vlora.

🕌 Day 2 — Visiting Vlora After breakfast we explore Vlora — where the Adriatic and Ionian Seas meet. We visit the Flag Square and the Independence Monument, walk through the Muradie neighborhood, and visit the magnificent Muradie Mosque — an Ottoman masterpiece built in 1537. Afternoon at Jale Beach — a hidden gem of the Albanian Riviera known for its intensely azure waters. Back to accommodation.

🏖️ Day 3 — Gjipe Beach After breakfast we visit Gjipe Beach — one of the most inaccessible and breathtaking beaches in Albania, reachable only by boat due to the high cliffs surrounding it. A true hidden paradise. Back to accommodation.

🌲 Day 4 — Llogara National Park We head to Llogara National Park — about 1 hour from Vlora. We visit the park's information center, then hike through the forest of Llogara, ending at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Ionian Sea and Saint Andrew Bay. After the hike, lunch at a local restaurant to taste the area's products. Afternoon at Dhërmi Beach. We head to Saranda for overnight.

🏰 Day 5 — Lekuras Castle After breakfast we relax at the hotel beach. In the evening we head to Lekuras Castle — built by Sultan Suleiman the Great — for a magical sunset and dinner. From the top enjoy a 360° view of Corfu Island, Saranda city, and Butrint Lake — all in one breathtaking panorama. Back to hotel.

🏝️ Day 6 — Ksamil Islands After breakfast we visit Ksamil Islands — one of the best beaches in the entire Balkans. Known for its crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and three small islands you can reach by swimming, kayak, or boat. Known as the "Ionian Pearl." Back to hotel.

🏛️ Day 7 — Butrint National Park After breakfast we explore Butrint National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest archaeological site in Albania with over 3 million visitors per year. In the afternoon we head by boat to the completely secluded Kakome Beach — a hidden paradise surrounded by beautiful green nature. Back to accommodation.

⚓ Day 8 — Sazan Island & Karaburun Peninsula Our final day. We return to Vlora and board the boat to Sazan Island and Karaburun Peninsula. The boat trip includes parties, music, dance, and cocktails. We stop for 3 hours at the crystal beaches of Karaburun, then visit the legendary Haxhi Ali Cave — an Illyrian cave named after a famous Albanian pirate from the 1500s. We then tour Sazan Island — the largest island in Albania and still an active military base with bunkers and history. We return to Vlora for a beautiful sunset on the water, then head back to Tirana.
