Blue Eye National Park & Lekurësi Castle Tour

The Blue Eye is one of those places that genuinely stops you in your tracks. A natural spring that pushes crystal-clear water up from a depth of at least 50 meters — nobody has ever reached the bottom — the pool glows in shades of deep blue and turquoise that look almost unreal. It sits in its own national park about 30 minutes from Sarandë, surrounded by palm trees, wild ferns, oak forests, and 18 natural springs feeding into the Bistrica River. You can walk around, take photos, and even swim if the temperature allows — the water is always cold, no matter the season.

After the Blue Eye, the tour continues to Lekurësi Castle — a ruined Ottoman fortress perched on a hilltop above Sarandë with sweeping views over the town, the Ionian Sea, and the Ksamil Islands. The walls are still largely standing and you can walk around them freely. There's also a small restaurant inside the ruins where you can have a drink and enjoy the view before heading back.

The tour runs in an air-conditioned vehicle, lasts 3 to 4 hours, and takes a maximum of 25 people. Ages 1 to 90 welcome. Not suitable for wheelchair users. The experience requires good weather — if cancelled due to weather you'll receive a full refund or an alternative date.
