🏰 Day 1 — Tirana – Shkodra – Mrizi i Zanave – Tirana Our tour leader picks you up at your hotel in Tirana. Shkodra — situated in the north-western part of Albania and home to the biggest lake in the Balkans — is one of the oldest cities in Albania with over a thousand years of habitation. The oldest wall of Shkodra Castle dates from the 1st millennium BCE. We visit Rozafa Castle — offering tremendous views of the lake and three rivers melting together into the Adriatic Sea. The city's architecture is highly influenced by Venetian style. We also learn that most Venetian masks are handmade and produced in Shkodra!

After exploring Shkodra, we drive to Mrizi i Zanave Agrotourism Farm. We take a tour of the farm and learn about its extraordinary story — how it created jobs for more than 400 people in the surrounding area. The farm collects, elaborates, and preserves regional bio fresh local products. We also learn how this family business adapted old communist buildings into storage for local bio products. Free time to enjoy a traditional lunch or buy fresh produce. Return to Tirana in the afternoon.
