Hiking Tour — Sopot Waterfall & the Nemërçka Mountains

Above the town of Përmet, on the massive slopes of the Nemërçka range, lies a waterfall that very few visitors ever find. The Sopot Waterfall tumbles into a crystal-clear pool in the middle of a pristine alpine landscape — surrounded by limestone cliffs, lush green pastures, and the natural springs of Sopot, where the water is cold, clean, and fresh enough to drink straight from the source.

This guided hiking tour begins with a scenic 4x4 or van transfer from Përmet to Sopoti Village, followed by a moderate 2.5-hour trek through open fields and dramatic terrain to the waterfall. Along the way, your local guide shares stories of the area — local traditions, the unique geology of the Nemërçka range, and the biodiversity of the Vjosa National Park region. Time at the waterfall is free to explore, rest, and photograph. The return transfer brings you back to Përmet.
