Sarandë Off-Road 4x4 Safari — Beaches, Blue Eye & Lekurësi

If you want to see the best of southern Albania in one day and actually enjoy getting there, this is the tour. You travel by 4x4 Jeep through some of the most scenic and hard-to-reach corners of the Albanian Riviera — and the drive itself is as much a part of the experience as the destinations.

The day starts at the Port of Sarandë with a scenic drive down toward the coast. After a short stop in Sarandë for photos and a look around, you head south to Borsh — a long, beautiful, and largely uncrowded beach known for its clear water and laid-back atmosphere. You'll have 2 hours here for lunch, a swim, and time to explore the village and its local culture.

From Borsh the off-road adventure really begins — the Jeep takes you through winding mountain roads and dramatic landscapes to two hidden gems that most visitors to Albania never get to see. You'll stop at each for photos, a guided visit, and time to take it all in at your own pace.

The penultimate stop is the Blue Eye — the famous natural spring where crystal-clear water pushes up from an unknown depth through a perfectly circular pool of vivid turquoise. Entry is included. Then it's up to Lekurësi Castle for panoramic views over Sarandë, the Ionian Sea, and the Ksamil Islands — especially beautiful in the late afternoon light as the sun starts to set. Entry to the castle is also included.

The tour lasts 6.5 hours, runs in a comfortable 4x4, and includes lunch, a drink, umbrellas at the beach, a Blue Eye train ticket, and a friendly English-speaking guide throughout. Not suitable for pregnant women or wheelchair users. Bring swimwear, sunscreen, a hat, and a camera.
